They give home a sense of community, & contribute to our local economy in many ways. Initiated by American Express & now adopted by many communities and governments, the #SHOPSMALLHAWAII initiative is a local, year-round celebration of small business owners in the state of Hawaii.

IS SHOP SMALL HAWAII FREE TO JOIN?

Yes, Shop Small Hawaii is open to all Hawaii small businesses. Membership is free to join. Click here to register online

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY BUSINESS IS A SMALL BUSINESS?

According to the Small Business Administration (“SBA”), a small business is defined ‘either in terms of the average number of employees over the past 12 months, or average annual receipts over the past three years.' WHAT IS SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY?

Small Business Saturday is an American shopping holiday on the Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 27th). It is a counterpart to Black Friday & Cyber Monday, which highlight big box retails & online shopping respectively. Small Business Saturday encourages holiday shoppers to patronize locally owned brick & mortar businesses. It is part of an ongoing national/local Shop Small campaign.
